Join the Movement!
At 12 PM, folk from all over the motu will gather for a powerful activation at Pāremata (Parliament Grounds), where the hīkoi culminates after an inspiring journey from Te Rerenga Wairua (Cape Reinga). This is not just a march; it is a rallying cry for unity and resilience. And we will be there!
Toitū te Tiriti is a movement grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti. It is tupuna inspired, tiriti led, mana motuhake driven, and mokopuna focused. Together, we will stand as one Aotearoa, affirming our commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and addressing the challenges faced by tangata whenua.
Why You Should Join Us:
- Make Your Voice Heard: Join the collective call for a united response against the government’s assault on tangata whenua and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
- Show Solidarity: Stand together with your community in support of our shared values.
- Activate Your Spirit: Engage in a vibrant rally filled with noise, whakawhanaungatanga, and meaningful kōrero.
Important Dates for the larger Hīkoi:
- 10 November: Marchers gather in Te Kāo
- 11 November: Hīkoi departs from Cape Reinga
- 18 November: Treaty Principles Bill introduced to the House
- 19 November: Hīkoi arrives at Parliament
- 21 November: First reading of the Bill and referral to select committee

Let’s come together to make our presence felt on the steps of Parliament! This will be one for the history books!
