Description

MŌRENA WHANGANUI!
This May will be our last Morning Rave for a while - we've got work, study, winter, even a WMC baby to occupy our time - so make sure you come along for an energising start to your day!

Morning Raves have come to town. Get ready to get your groove, your sweat, your shake, your bounce - all before 8am! Come in your PJ’s, come in costume, come in whatever makes you feel GOOD. Anyone and everyone is welcome - bring friends!
As the saying goes, ‘early bird gets the first bass line’.
$10 or koha on the door, cash or bank transfer.

**What is a Morning Rave?
A morning rave is exactly like a night time rave, except it happens in the morning to kick start your day, and it’s a dry/sober event! Full party, different time of day.

**Isn't this just Morning People?
Ah - so you've been a city dweller once! This is super similar to Morning People, but no it's not. They are their own brand and company, and don't operate in Whanganui.

**What’s the deal with morning raves here in Whanganui?
On the first Wednesday of the month, we (Whanganui Movement Collective) will be hosting a Morning Rave for those who are ready to start their month with an epic, energetic, dry morning party. We’ll be mixing up the DJs and location to showcase all the awesome artists and locations around Whanganui, so no two events will be the same.

**Who is Whanganui Movement Collective?
Julie, Riana, and Renee love movement - so we got together to try and create more spaces & offerings for it in Whanganui! We were then joined by Finn who is our tech/sound extraordinaire. Follow our page if you like the sound of that, as we’ll be sharing all our events from there.

**Why do I have to pay?
We would absolutely love to be running our events free of charge, but we want to support our hosts and our artists to keep curating space and experience.
We want to operate with a community minded ‘sliding scale’. We don’t want $$ to a barrier to movement for anyone, and equally, there are those of us who could happily contribute higher to enable others to attend and the event to keep running.
The ideal is that attendees contribute around $10, but if that cost is not doable for you, then just give what you can.

See you there, Whanganui.
