Shepherds Reign show us their most striking pukana with today’s release of lead single ‘Nafanua’ from their new album Ala Mai (Awaken), out on 25th August via Golden Robot Records. Named after the warrior goddess of the Samoan underworld who learned to rise above her troubled roots, the South Auckland collective's powerful anthem calls upon her unyielding ferocity to protect their family. "Nafanua lou nuu ua pologa. Tu'u mai lau la'au (Nafanua your village is being destroyed. Bring forth your weapons)".

From September, the whole motu are invited to tap into our primal side with the flaming vocals of Filiva'a James—which ignite the combative guitars of Gideon Voon and Oliver Leupolo from the soil of Shaymen Rameka’s tribal percussion and Joseph Oti-George’s grounded bass. The Polynesian metal titans will then re-emerge victorious across the ditch in Australia to the UK and Europe early next year.
