Description

Event by Palestine Solidarity Network Aotearoa - PSNA

The genocidal slaughter in Gaza goes on with more than 10,000 Palestinians civilians killed – including more than 3,900 Palestinian children.  And while the people of the world are horrified at the human carnage we see on our TV screens, western politicians sit on their hands and won’t call for a ceasefire.

Labour and National in New Zealand are wedded to the US and Israel with token support at best for Palestinians.  How else to explain their self-righteous condemnation of the killing of Israeli civilians while refusing to condemn Israel’s genocidal attacks on Palestinians or even call for a ceasefire?

Once more it is the people of the world who are rising up in a great wave demanding the end of the genocide in Gaza and giving strong political solidarity with the Palestinian people.  Two of the largest marches demanding a ceasefire have been Washington with 300,000 and Jakarta with 1-2 million. Here in Aotearoa New Zealand our protests have been growing rapidly and show just how out of touch with public opinion are outgoing PM Hipkins and incoming PM Luxon. They are apologists for genocide.

This is NOT a clash between Palestinians and 'Israelis!' This is genocide on Palestinians and we need to stand against it!
*No more fear, no more laziness, stand up! Speak up! Come support this Saturday at the Tram Shed, Taupo Quay at 11:30 am, to pressure the New Zealand government to recognise and speak up against this genocide on Palestine, and hide no more! Palestinians kiwis expect much more!
Day in and day out - Palestinians live under siege, caged, brutalized, colonized, expelled & ethnically cleansed, bombed and imprisoned in Gaza, Hebron, Jerusalem, Jenin, Nablus and all over occupied Palestine for long enough. 75 years!
Palestinians are an occupied people and we have the right to resist occupation, we have the right to freedom. We will fight for that freedom!
It's past time for the world wake up and help the Palestinians, indigenous and native nation of Palestine, achieve their just rights to self-determination to live peacefully and freely IN THEIR OWN LANDS!

Please note, this protest is not in the Tram Shed, nor endorsed by it, it will take place on the footpath in front of the Tram Shed.

There will also be a Vigil, 7pm. Peace hand memorial, Queens Park
