Kaishandao (Mandarin for ‘machete’) is a Chengdu-based producer and musician from Wellington, New Zealand. Forged from the isolated hills of Pōneke and melded by the breakneck BPM of China, Kaishandao produces a sound of complex origins and eccentric imperfections into a playful mash of delirious dance music. Her music has been featured on Boiler Room and NTS Radio, as well as coverage from MixMag Asia and BBC World. This is her first ever Aotearoa tour.
